October 2026 Team Update
As I look out my window here in Montreal, the trees yellow and redden more vibrantly each day. The colours remain the same at yourcanadianstory.ca, but you’ll see new faces on the Meet the Team page this season.

A vibrant and growing team means expanding services for our clients:
· RCIC availability 7 days/week
· Professional-level support in 6 languages: English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, Macedonian and Serbo-Croatian
· Anticipated licensing for Saskatchewan and Quebec immigration processes by early 2027
· Expanded capacity for HR & employer-driven immigration processes
Meet Alessandra La Posta
Many of our clients have already met Alessandra, who has been a major asset in supporting numerous Express Entry applications I’ve submitted for clients throughout 2026. When she previously worked at IRCC on economic immigration programs, one of her areas of focus was the Canadian Experience Class. As these files are being scrutinized more closely than ever, I’ve been thankful for her teamwork on several challenging cases.
Also based in Montreal, Alessandra is in the final stages of pursuing her RCIC designation and licensing with MIFI, which will help expand our team’s ability to handle Quebec immigration files and strengthen our French-language supports.
Meet Antonio Aragón, RCIC
Antonio has been an RCIC since 2016. He brings more than 20 years of experience in international education & mobility, including student advising, career guidance, and the Canadian post-secondary system.
As an immigrant himself, he understands how personal these decisions are. He approaches each person’s story with care, respect, and an appreciation for their individual circumstances.
He is available for consultations in English or Spanish as of October 1!

Congratulations to Emma Phan, RCIC-IRB!
Last month, Emma obtained her RCIC-IRB license! Emma has worked with us as a legal assistant since early 2025. With years of experience in HR and career services, she has been an asset to our business clients whose paperwork requirements are often daunting.
As Canada’s immigration system is trending in an employer-driven direction, we expect demand for Emma’s support to grow via applications such as the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (via the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program), Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), and other provincial nominee programs across the country.
Sebastian Kolesar, RCIC is in high demand!
Sebastian has been providing consultations via yourcanadianstory.ca since April 2025. Trusted by new and returning clients, Sebastian advises from Kelowna, BC. His evening/weekend availability in Pacific Time has helped ensure our clients can find any appointment whenever urgent situations arise.
On our Let’s Meet page, you’ll see Sebastian’s regular hours of availability alongside mine and Antonio’s. We hope this new layout will make appointment-scheduling easier.
Next time you meet with one of us, you’ll note that we’ve also switched from Zoom to Google Meet based on informal comments we heard.
